Throughout the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, running from November 30 to December 15, 24 elite CS2 teams competed for a $1.25 million prize pool. The tournament was split between the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center and the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center for playoffs.

Team Spirit emerged victorious, led by 17-year-old Donk, who made history as the youngest player to win both a Major and Major MVP award. Despite a rocky start in the European RMR B, Spirit dominated the playoffs with victories over Liquid, MOUZ, and FaZe in the finals.
